Hi everyone. Hope you're all enjoying your Memorial weekend. It pretty much sucks here. It rained yesterday . It's supposed to rain today clear up until Wednesday. I am so sick of this weather. BC I wish I could send some of this rain to you guys as you said it is very dry there and you've had fires. Boy the weather always goes from one extreme to the other! I am hoping my sis and I can get out to the cemetary sometime and get the flowers on the graves. The rains the other day had a lot of the country roads closed and I think the road to the cemetary was one of them. They got a lot of rain over that way. Another bad thing about this weather is the mosquitoes. They are horrible! I hate to take the dogs out as I kept getting chewed up so now before I go out, I spray a bunch of "OFF Bug Spray" on me so not to get bit by those stupid mosquitoes. My lawn is starting to look like a jungle. I hope I can get out one of these days to get it mowed.
Well the end of "Sopranos" is near. I think tonight is the next to last show. It is really getting good. I'm just wondering who might get knocked off tonight. I just know someone will. Last week Chris and Tony were in a car accident and Chris died with help from Tony. Chris was bleeding real bad and told Tony that he would not pass a drug test as he was using again so Tony suffocated him. I thought Chris had quit drugs for good but he went back to using. I am just really wondering if Tony will get killed. Beings the show is coming to an end, I just wonder. His son tried to kill himself on the last show. He tried to drown himself but Tony saved him. He's in a mental hospital now. God I LOVE this show!! It'll be sad to not have it on anymore. I know it'll probably be in syndication where you can see it over and over again but it's shows we've seen but I'll probably watch anyway just like I do with CSI Miami. I know I've seen all their shows but I keep watching over and over cuz I LOVE that show too!
God I cannot believe that this month is practically over.....just 4 more days. I have a birthday coming up on the 1st of June. Ray got me a new cell phone the other day for my birthday. I haven't really got things set up on it yet. I'll have to do that. Well I guess I better make another pot of coffee. I see the pot is empty and I need more coffee so I will bring this to a close. Oh, just wanted to let you know I heard from Lucy the other day. She said she misses everyone but has some family things to deal with now, I contacted her because she is trying to quit smoking and Ray is trying also. She is on Chantix and that's what Ray is on. I asked if it worked for her and she said as far as she's concerned, it's a miracle drug. It's working for her so I hope it works for Ray too as he really wants to quit! It's expensive so I do hope it works. He's still on the starter pack as he just started about a couple days ago.

After Christmas, a teacher asked her young pupils how they spent their holiday away from school. One child wrote the following:

We always used to spend the holidays with Grandma and Grandpa. They used to live in a big brick house but Grandpa got retarded and they moved to Florida. Now they live in a tin box and have rocks painted green to look like grass. They ride around on their bicycles and wear name tags because they don't know who they are anymore.

They go to a building called a wrecked center, but they must have got it fixed because it is all okay now, and do exercises there, but they don't do them very well.

There is a swimming pool too, but in it, they all jump up and down with hats on.

At their gate, there is a doll house with a little old man sitting in it. He watches all day so nobody can escape. Sometimes they sneak out.

They go cruising in their golf carts! Nobody there cooks, they just eat out. And, they eat the same thing every night --- early birds.

Some of the people can't get out past the man in the doll house. The ones who do get out, bring food back to the wrecked center for pot luck.

My Grandma says that Grandpa worked all his life to earn his retardment and says I should work hard so I can be retarded someday too. When I earn my retardment, I want to be the man in the doll house. Then I will let people out so they can visit their grandchildren.

Boy last night was a tiring night! My sis and I had talked on the phone earlier in the evening and then when I was fixing supper, she called and I knew something was wrong cuz she was sort of crying. She told me that she fell in her living room carrying things in from the car and she hit either the end table or the coffee table. She was in a lot of pain so I went up to her house. I told her I was going to take her to the hospital to have her checked out to make sure she was ok and see if she had broken anything. Her husband is gone out in the semi and I knew she couldn't drive as she was in too much pain. We got to the hospital and she couldn't even get out of the car so I went in and had one of the nurses come out and get her out of the car. We went into the ER and she had to fill out all this bullshit for insurance and all that crap you have to go through. It's like you're in so much pain and you have to go through all that shit first! Anyway, after that the doctor came in and they took her into X-Ray. Good news is she didn't break anything but she's got bruised ribs and he said she will be sore for awhile. Ray and I both know from experience how she will feel so I brought her up here to stay last night and she will stay here today and tonight and then I think her husband will be home so she will probably go home tomorrow. Hera was by her side most of the night till we went to bed and then I put the gate up so she would stay out of the living room where Linda was on the couch. She just paced back and forth and even tried to jump the gate. She's like a mother hen. She knew Linda was in pain so she wanted to be by her side. I finally calmed her down and got her to sleep on her pillow. I told her she could see Linda in the morning. I had a hell of a time sleeping cuz we had a bad storm last night and it rained so hard it kept me awake for a long time. We must have got quite a lot of rain because my yard is like a lake. I took the dogs out this morning and was sloshing all over the place. The mosquitoes have been really bad and they will be a lot worse with all these rains. I almost hate to go outdoors. Well that was my exciting evening, and exhausting as well. I'm just glad she didn't break any bones but she will be very sore for quite awhile. I told her we can always go put flowers on the graves after Memorial Day when she feels a little more like it. Their camping trip for the weekend is pretty much shot too. Besides, rain and storms are in the forecast for the next few days......oh joy! I am soooooooooo sick of all this damn rain!!!! Hi everyone. Sorry I haven't been around much to answer comments and such. Just been pretty busy lately. Trying to work my 2 days at my job. keep the house and laundry done up, do the yard work and take care of 3 animals which is a chore sometimes. Mitzey is still not making up to Hera. Hera wants to play so bad and is so cute the way she goes up to Mitzey and plays with her toy, but Mitzey won't have any part of it. Mitzey not long ago even got mean and bit Ray. Ray was really mad. He said if she ever bites me that will be it, she'll be out of here! See I am a bleeder and it doesn't take much to make me bleed. She didn't draw blood on Ray but if she bit me, she probably would, and Ray said that would be it for her, she would be out the door. I hope it never comes to that but we can't keep her if she's going to be mean. I just wish she would make up to Hera. Hera tries so hard to be her friend. I found a picture that kinda looks like Hera to give you some idea what she looks like. We don't have pictures of her yet but she looks something like this.

We are kinda concerned about her cuz she has been having really bad dreams here lately and we can't figure out why. I have never heard her bark since we got her, but the other night she had a really bad dream where she was growling. moaning and even let out a bark. That is the first time I ever heard her bark! She has a bad dream everyday and we are really concerned. She is definitely not being abused here. If anything, she is spoiled rotten. It makes us wonder now if she wasn't abused by her previous owners or at the shelter. The head guy, I don't think would hurt any of the animals. He seems like a real animal lover, but I don't know who else works there and maybe one of them hurt her. I'm getting to the point somedays where I really hate people. They are morons!! All I can say is no one better have hurt Hera cuz if I found out anyone did, they will answer to me. I'm sorry, but I HATE people who abuse animals!! I guess I ought to go now so I can visit some blogs and do up my dishes. All is quiet around here now. Ray is taking a nap and all the animals are sleeping as well. It's a crappy day out today. It's been raining off and on and we had a thunderstorm last night. They are calling for rain the next few days. I hope it's not raining Friday as my sister and I are going to the cemetary to put flowers on the graves. Well I hope everyone is having a nice day and I'll try to make it by to say hello.
